But, then again...

Assalamualaikum uncles and aunties, younger brothers younger sisters, elder sisters and elder brothers...

This time I'm going to write in English. But only for this particular post. You'll understand why later. Hm, my last post about fanatical-but-unsportmanlike supporters of Kelantan resulted in all kinds of opinions. I thank you all for commenting. Most of you who commented seems to agree with me, that fans of Kelantan shouldn't have reacted that way.

I don't know how many people read that post. Or, how many had really fully understood what I meant. When I criticize Kelantanese people, I always make sure I do it in Kelantan "language". Why? Because it's meant for Kelantanese only. Please understand, deep in my heart, I always love Kelantan, and will do so until my last breath.

Sure, Kelantanese are a bunch of over-emotional fans of their football team. They do not know how to lose. When we lose, we do not know how to react "the way a gentleman should react when he loses a girl". We got mad. We burnt some plastic chairs, which is stupid, as the chairs got nothing to do with Negeri 9 goals. And then we did not cheer the players anymore, not even after we were behind by just one goal. How do you expect Kelantan to do magics, like Liverpool did to AC Milan in 2005?

But, and here comes the big but, no other states in Malaysia can unite for their team the way Kelantan did. Look at us that night. Aren't we proud of that? Had it been between Selangor and Pahang, I'm very sure the tickets sales would only be around three quarter of the full stadium capacity. That night, the stadium was filled up, with Negeri's supporter occupying one quarter of the stadium.

My uncle told me that from Pasir Puteh alone, 40 buses headed to Bukit Jalil for the match. Forty buses! From Pasir Puteh only! Not to forget those who came with their friends and families. I heard that many Kelantan fans had camped in front of the stadium the night before the match. In vans, cars, some even in their buses. Though how they showered and answered to the call of nature, I cannot imagined. (I wouldn't be surprised if they did not showered at all.)

Ask this question, which other state can do what Kelantan did? I was at the stadium when Selangor was in the final against Sabah in 2002 (I think so), and the stadium was not filled any more than three quarters. And Bukit Jalil is in Selangor, to think of that! Where are the supporters? Too far to travel? Too busy for work? Imagine if Bukit Jalil is in Kelantan and Kelantan is in the final. Wow, I think the government would then have to put up giants screens outside the stadium!

Sportsmanship aside, I'd say Kelantan fans are at the same level as Liverpool fans and Korean fans (remember World Cup 2002?). You give me goosebumps, guys. High five!

p/s I wrote this in English because not only I want Kelantanese to ggebah idung, but also for everyone to see how powerful we are.

being passionate about your team is good, but do it in a smart way..... lo ning kena padam persepsi awam terhadap "keganasan" penyokong Klate, remember the burnt police truck? Not the first time, back in the 70's or 80's, a Perak bus was burnt down too....hmmmmm....

Kawae tengok banyak lagi "herd mentality" among Klate peoples in general, temu sek dio gak, tingga habis saing negeri laing...

saja nak provoke, pah tu kena pakai anonymous....tok tuo kito pung maghi lek nu jugok.
